A groundworks and construction contractor based near Yelverton, on the edge of Dartmoor.
Who we are
Burbage GWC Ltd is a groundworks and construction company registered in England & Wales (company no. 16587301). We are based near Yelverton in Devon. Most of our work is in the South West, and we take on larger projects anywhere in the country.
We work for developers, main contractors, landowners, businesses and homeowners. We can price a single package, such as groundworks, a slab or drainage, or run the whole job as principal contractor, from bare site to a finished steel-framed building signed off by building control.
The people behind the company
Burbage GWC was started by Joseph, our founder. He went straight from school into farming, then moved into groundworks, then spent a few years as a fitter for an engineering company before setting up the business on his own.
Each step shows in how we work. Farming means Joseph knows how agricultural buildings are used and what farm clients need from them. Groundworks is our core trade. His time as a fitter gave him hands-on experience of working with steel, which helps when we erect and clad steel-framed buildings.

Where we work
We are based in Yelverton, Devon, and work across the South West: Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Bristol. For larger projects we work nationwide. Our Peterborough project is one example.
